What about their Habitats?

Northern Ireland’s landscape is incredibly diverse, everything from beaches to freshwater loughs, mountains to bog land.

To help protect these unique landscapes and the plants and animals who depend on them to survive, 40 different types of ‘habitat’ have been identified as Priority Habitats.

This means that they are being given special attention to protect them and ensure their survival in Northern Ireland.
